Programs

Longfellow Elementary School focuses on a challenging, balanced curriculum, incorporating technology and science. We have devoted many hours to staff development to ensure the best possible instruction for our students. Our choral and instrumental music programs are fantastic, and many of our students go on to become some of the best musicians in the district, due in large part to their instruction at Longfellow. Students, staff, parents and community groups have also been part of the planning, fund raising and hands-on hard work to make our “Secret Garden” a reality. Our recycling efforts along with our many "green" activities helped Longfellow earn a National Green Ribbon Award. In addition to an outstanding regular education program, we have a gifted and talented program for grades 3 through 5, and a gifted/enrichment program in grades 1 and 2.
